Bonafont, the water brand of Danone in Mexico, turned to VP Consulting to optimize its supply network design and prepare for future challenges. The main objective was to examine capacity constraints and possibilities, as well as the implications of operating and capital expenditures to support production growth.
Using simulation modeling, VP Consulting evaluated transportation flows and production restrictions considering the specifics of production lines and different product specifications. As a result, a feasible scenario of a 13% increase in production capacity with 5% cost savings and a payback period of 2-4 years was identified, ensuring business continuity.
