Partial shipments for simulation experiment

Have you ever faced delays because a complete order wasn’t ready to ship? Partial shipments functionality for the simulation project allows you to split orders during the processing phase when the full quantity isn't available. No more waiting for the entire stock to fulfill an order.

The splitting of orders can happen multiple times based on the set ratio you define, ensuring that your shipments are as flexible as your needs.

How it works

Say you're in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, dealing in beverages. Previously, if a large order for 1,000 units of soda couldn't be completely filled, it had to wait. Now, with partial shipments, if you have 600 units ready, you can ship them immediately if they meet the minimum split ratio you’ve defined, for example, 0,4.

In the meantime, the rest of the order is placed on a waiting list for replenishment and can further be split into two sub-orders. This not only speeds up delivery but also improves customer satisfaction by reducing wait times.

Tracking the orders

There is now the Orders table, which makes it easy to see how orders are split and follow their journey. Whether an order is split just once or multiple times, you can track each sub-order from initial split to final delivery and manage your inventory more effectively.
