As the year 2023 has finished, it's now the best moment to review everything we have done, recall the high moments, and move forward. This year brought us lots of opportunities, fulfillment, and challenges.
Step into a year filled with exciting releases and the first anyLogistix Conference. Come with us as we go through this special year.
Contents:
The first anyLogistix Conference brought together over 300 supply chain modeling practitioners from various industries to discuss best practices in supply chain digital transformation.
Key highlights included the introduction of anyLogistix 3 with new features, an overview, and a live demo. The conference also featured case studies on supply chain modeling and optimization, digital twins, FMCG, ecology, and agriculture topics.
In September, we posted an article with a detailed recap of the conference, videos of case presentations, and the most impressive highlights.
The 2023 anyLogistix version 3 updates simplify facility and demand generation, saving time and effort. Enjoy a more user-friendly project management experience, ensuring efficient workflow and control. In 2023, we released two new versions, anyLogistix 3.0 and 3.1.

Simplify facility and demand generation with just one click. This is great for situations where you need a lot of entities, and exact locations are optional.
Enjoy an improved, user-friendly project management panel with more features. Expand your supply chain analysis with a broader range of variables for better insights. Pause the scenario validation process anytime so you can make changes on the fly without waiting for it to finish.
In 2023, we posted 13 blog posts and 6 case studies. We closely reviewed each topic and wrote the materials with great passion. If you came to our blogs or cases to find answers to your questions, we hope it was helpful.
Here are the three most popular blog posts and case studies published on our website this year.
1. anyLogistix 3.0 – a new chapter for the supply chain design and optimization software
Pleasantly, the most popular post last year was the release post about anyLogistix 3.0. We are happy to see that you are interested in and excited about the new features. In 2024, we will continue to enhance your user experience and demonstrate smooth performance with more improvements and fixes.
2. Mergers and acquisitions affecting supply chain
This text emphasizes the challenges and opportunities in mergers and acquisitions, particularly in relation to supply chain management and strategic planning. The post underscores the importance of optimizing post-merger supply chains and encourages companies to diversify their supply chains for enhanced competitiveness and future growth.
3. FMCG supply chain challenges and solutions to stay ahead of the competition
This blog post examines the challenges the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry faces, particularly focusing on supply chain complexities. It highlights issues like demand volatility and product innovations.
The post emphasizes the importance of agility and digital tools, using case studies to showcase how companies like Coca-Cola and an FMCG corporation optimized their logistics using anyLogistix software.
1. Managing food supply chain disruptions in a public distribution system
The Public Distribution System in India faced adverse effects from COVID-19 due to constraints on transportation systems. The Indian Institute of Management Mumbai, formerly the National Institute of Industrial Engineering, took proactive measures to address these challenges.
In the case study, we have described all the possible scenarios NITIE considered for simulation and how they have conducted a practical approach for supply chain management to minimize the pandemic outcomes and prepare for potential future challenges.
Bonafont, a leading division of Danone in Mexico, partnered with VP Consulting to address the challenge of assessing its manufacturing strategies for anticipated growth.
With anyLogistix, VP Consulting conducted a comprehensive analysis of the beverage supply chain, optimizing production lines and locations through simulation modeling.
The results were significant and impactful – a 13% increase in production capacity, a 5% reduction in costs through operational efficiency, and a projected payback period of 2 to 4 years highlighted the sustainability of the solutions. This success positioned Bonafont as a flexible and ready-made business case story in Mexico. The case underscores the value of informed decision-making and advanced tools in achieving efficiency and sustained growth in a dynamic market.
3. Optimization of distribution network design in food logistics
A detailed case study about Decisiones Logísticas’ three-phase approach to finding the best solution for distribution network optimization.
Using anyLogistix software, Decisiones Logísticas helped "Don Josué," a leading Colombian food company, plan their business development for the next 10 years. They achieved significant outcomes through systematic workflow analysis, strategic choice of new distribution centers’ locations, and effective demand management. These changes saved money, around 0.2% to 0.6%.
At anyLogistix, we're all about learning and sharing knowledge. This year, we hosted multiple events, webinars, and training sessions. We discussed our insights and practical tips on simulation modeling and supply chain design.
One such webinar was "Power Up Your M&A with Advanced Optimization and Simulation" by our partners, SimWell.
This webinar covered best practices for optimizing supply chains by mapping supply chains, aligning facility locations with customer demand, and reducing travel miles for cost savings and CO2 emission reduction.
During the demo, SimWell demonstrated practical techniques such as capturing the supply chain, explaining soft data, and running greenfield analysis (GFA) to determine the number of warehouses for comparison.
In 2024, a lot of great webinars await your participation. Check out the events page for detailed descriptions of upcoming anyLogistix trainings and sign up to join. Take advantage of the chance to join our experts and grab a handful of tips on anyLogistix.
